Currently large sections of the streams that flow through our neighbourhood have banks covered by alien plants. The sections not currently affected are adjacent to properties whose owners are maintaining the banks.

The benefits of maintaining stream banks:
Returns the environment to a state which naturally supports the indigenous flora and fauna.
The area that we live in will look attractive.
Removes alien and invasive plants.

The Ferncliffe Catchment Conservancy (FCC) is encouraging residents to adopt a section of stream and rehabilitate it.
